The President of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni appreciated the distinguished service of the Chairman of Uganda Nubi Elders Council, Yaba Adam Muhamed Agada towards mobilizing the people of Kitubulu to participate in government programmes. The President’s message was contained in a citation for the award of the Diamond Jubilee Medal to Yaba Agada during the 44th Tarehe Sita anniversary held in Kyotera.
The medal was extended to Yaba Agada in recognition of his outstanding service and loyalty to Uganda, contribution to peaceful coexistence of the heterogenous multinational community in Kitubulu, and services along the mayumba 10 and Resistance Council systems, for more than two decades. Furthermore, Yaba Agada worked closely with President Museveni towards the preservation and development of Kitubulu. As such, he was recognised for his tireless efforts, dedication and contribution to nation building.
In acknowledgment of the national honour, Yaba Agada organised a prompt thanksgiving prayer at his residence in Kitubulu. The function was attended by mostly his relatives and friends.
